Lakshika Sahu, Raipur. On the third day of Chhath, women offered water to the setting sun in many districts of Chhattisgarh including Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Surguja, Rajnandgaon. Women offered water to the setting sun after worshipping the sun at Chhath Ghats in all districts including Mahadev Ghat of Raipur.
There was a huge crowd of fasting women at Mahadev Ghat in Raipur. The fasting women made jaggery kheer and roti and offered it to Chhath Maiya. Then the roti-kheer was distributed among the people as prasad. Chhath fasting women will complete their 36-hour fast by worshipping the rising sun and eating prasad on Friday morning.
Artists enthralled the audience with their songs
On the occasion of Chhath festival, Mahadev Ghat and Laxman Jhula have been decorated with lights, which have become the center of attraction. Tight security arrangements have been made. On this occasion, international folk singer Kalpana Patwari, international folk singer Gayatri Yadav, folk singer Parineeta Rao Patnaik, Dukalu Yadav and other artists enthralled the audience with their performances.
