Chief Minister Mr. Baghel holds important meeting to decide corona control, arrangements and further strategies

In a meeting held at his residence office here today, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel reviewed the strategies for prevention of corona infection, control measures and treatment of patients and discussed further strategies. He inquired about the arrangement of quarantine centers, beds available in hospitals. The Chief Minister said that special care should be taken that the infection does not spread to other patients coming from the infected person to the hospital. Doctors and medical staff follow the guide line to prevent infection. Through video conferencing, Mr. Baghel also discussed with the AIIMS Raipur director and officials of Bilaspur Sims the arrangements and further strategies. In the meeting, the officials informed that arrangements are being made to provide 141 thousand care centers and 21 thousand 230 beds for Kovid patients in the districts.
Health Secretary Smt. Niharika Barik Singh informed the Chief Minister about the treatment arrangements in various hospitals. He also informed about the measures being taken at the state level for Kovid-19 control. Mr. Baghel took information from the officials involved in the meeting about the number of quarantine centers, the system and the people living there. In the video conference, the Chief Minister discussed about the quarantine centers and the arrangements made there for the migrant laborers who have reached the state and gave necessary instructions regarding the arrangement to keep the laborers arriving in the quarantine centers in the next few days. The Chief Minister inquired about the beds available in various hospitals and patients admitted there for treatment of Kovid-19. On this, the health department officials said that there are 1770 beds in the Dedicated Kovid Hospital at the regional level in the state, while there is a provision of 3470 beds in the Dedicated Kovid Hospital at the district level. All these hospitals have ICUs. In addition, 141 non-symptomatic and low-symptomatic patients are being set up in 141 Kovid Care Centers in the districts where 7234 beds will be available and additional 6500 beds Kovid Care Unit is under process.
