Cordial Meeting with Special Children, Said – This is True Service to Humanity

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today inspected the Manovikas Kendra operating in the agricultural produce market premises in Balodabazar. He cordially interacted with the children with special needs, inquired about their progress, and received feedback from their parents. The Chief Minister was overwhelmed to see the yoga, music, and cultural activities presented by the children and wholeheartedly appreciated their talent.
Chief Minister Shri Sai praised the administrative initiative to reuse the building, which was previously a COVID center, as a Manovikas Kendra, calling it an exemplary model. He said that such efforts promote a sense of inclusion and compassion in society. This is true service to humanity.
On this occasion, special child Shesh Sahu mesmerized Chief Minister Shri Sai by reciting the Gayatri Mantra, while Somnath Sahu presented a Jas Geet to the beat of the drum. In addition, Chief Minister Shri Sai especially appreciated the Surya Namaskar yoga performance presented by Neelkamal, Pushkar, Somnath, and Shesh and said that it is proof of the children’s physical and mental empowerment.
Manovikas Kendra: Confluence of Dedication, Sensitivity, and Empowerment
The Manovikas Kendra of Balodabazar, which started in January 2025, has emerged as an ideal institution for the overall development and rehabilitation of children with special needs. This center is being run from the CSR funds of Ambuja Adani Cement Plant, and is currently providing special education, medical support, vocational training and skill development facilities to more than 40 children.
Here, children are being guided towards self-reliance through physiotherapy, speech and behavior therapy, psychological counseling, tailoring, computer literacy, horticulture, as well as sports and cultural activities.
On this occasion, Revenue Minister Shri Tankram Verma, Municipal President Shri Ashok Jain, Dr. Sanam Jangde, Shri Anand Yadav, Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Vijay Agarwal and many other public representatives and officers were present.
