Raipur. 7 December 2024. In the three-day training of departmental engineers by the Public Works Department of the State Government, experts gave information about new techniques of building construction and repair. Training on 'Good Engineering Practices in Building Construction' has been organized by the Public Works Department in collaboration with Roadvarta Foundation from 6th December to 8th December at Naveen Vishram Bhawan, Raipur. In this, 150 executive engineers, assistant engineers and sub-engineers from seven districts of Durg zone of Public Works Department, Rajnandgaon, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, Manpur-Mohala-Ambagarh Chowki, Durg, Balod, Bemetara and Kabirdham districts are participating.
Engineers of Public Works Department were given various training sessions by Chief Managing Director of Roadwarta Foundation, Shri I.K. Pandey, Chief Engineer of Naya Raipur Atal Nagar Vikas Pradhikaran Mr. Salil Srivastava, concrete expert and scientist Mr. Satandar Kumar, concrete expert Mr. Suresh Kumar and building structure expert Mr. Sameer Pandey explained in detail on various aspects of 'Good Engineering Practices in Building Construction'. Gave information. He also told about the new technologies and machinery being used in building construction and repair work.
Deputy Chief Minister and Public Works Minister Shri Arun Sao is continuously emphasizing on the quality of construction in departmental review meetings. For this, he has given instructions for regular training for capacity development of departmental engineers. After the training related to construction of roads and bridges, this three-day training has been organized by the department to provide information about new techniques in building construction and repair and to ensure better quality in these works. After training of engineers of Durg zone, it will be organized for other zones also.
