Raipur, December 21, 2024/ Healthcare facilities are expanding rapidly in the state. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai stated this while addressing the Kayakalp State-level Award ceremony at the Medical College Raipur today.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai honored healthcare warriors, TB-free gram panchayats in the program and presented appointment letters to newly appointed health personnel in the medical cadre. The Chief Minister also extended his best wishes to the institutions honored with Kayakalp, TB-free gram panchayats, and healthcare warriors.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that only when every person in the state is healthy will we be able to achieve the goal of building a developed Chhattisgarh. He said that health facilities are strengthening in the double engine government. He congratulated the health personnel for screening more than 11 lakh people under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in the state so far. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that along with the cleanliness of the environment, the cleanliness of the hospital is also very important. When Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi took the resolution of Swachh Bharat, hospital cleanliness was also given priority.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that during my stay as an MP, people used to come and go to my Delhi residence for treatment. Patients and their relatives coming for treatment at AIIMS used to stay at my residence. Then, seeing the arrangements of my house, the venerable late Dilip Singh Judev had said that you have made your house a mini AIIMS. During the tenure of venerable Atal Ji, when the approval for Raipur AIIMS was received, it really opened the way for better healthcare facilities for millions of people in Chhattisgarh and surrounding areas.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the sensitive leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has prepared the Ayushman Bharat Yojana for effective treatment of the common people. Arrangements have been made for treatment up to five lakh rupees for the poor.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that a civilized society is identified by how much it is able to take care of its elderly people. Our elders dedicate their entire lives to society, and it is the duty of society to take full care of them. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, while expanding the scope of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, has also made arrangements for free treatment up to five lakh rupees for senior citizens above 70 years of age.
The Chief Minister said that our government’s focus is that the benefits of health facilities should also reach the people living in the remotest areas. There were some villages in Bastar where people did not get the benefit of health facilities for years due to Maoist violence. Now health camps are being held there. People’s Ayushman cards are being made. The medical infrastructure in Chhattisgarh has improved, and its effect is being seen in the form of medical tourism. Even in Chhattisgarh, patients from neighboring states come to super specialty hospitals. We are constantly working to improve the health infrastructure in Chhattisgarh. We are constructing a 700-bed hospital building in Ambedkar Hospital. After this, its capacity will become two thousand patients. The number of medical colleges in Chhattisgarh has increased rapidly. Recently, we have started the process of constructing four medical college buildings. To ensure that our Hindi medium and rural students do not face any difficulty in medical education, we are providing medical education in Hindi medium. PG seats in medical colleges have also been increased to ensure the availability of specialist doctors.
The Chief Minister also shared information about the major decisions taken by the Central Government and the Chhattisgarh Government in the field of health and his efforts. He gave information about the approval of a 700-bed hospital in Mekahara, approval of 4 new medical college buildings, and the work being done regarding basic health infrastructure. Chief Minister Shri Sai expressed his happiness on the receipt of NQAS certificate by Chintagufa Health Center in Sukma district.
