Farmers are taking advantage of modern agricultural techniques and departmental schemes

The state of Chhattisgarh is an agricultural state. Where most of the citizens are directly or indirectly engaged in agriculture related work. Agriculture is the primary activity that produces most of the food grains for us. Apart from food grains, it also produces raw materials for various industries. The state government is running several schemes related to the interests of farmers. Due to which farmers have started to consider agriculture as a profitable business.

    Farmer Upendra of village Pahurbel of Bakwand development block of Bastar district has been cultivating for the last 17 years, in the past only rainfed agriculture was being done by farmers, then the farmer contacted the field officers of the Agriculture Department from time to time. Following the suggestions going, modern agriculture started work. Sowing of paddy crop is being done by the farmer Upendra, due to which the farmer has low cost in seeds, fertilizers, medicines and has facilitated weeding. In the year 2016, the tubewell was made by the farmer under departmental vigilance scheme and in the year 2018, the agricultural equipment was obtained from Rotavator, MBplau, Kejwhill, battery spare sprinkler pipe subsidy. In this way, farmers are currently producing paddy, maize, From the crop of urad and arhar, he is availing an amount of one lakh rupees per acre per acre. In this way, the economic level of farmers is improving and other farmers of the village are also becoming aware of modern farming by taking advantage of departmental schemes, encouraged by the farmers.
    The ambitious “Godhan Nyaya Yojana” of the Government of Chhattisgarh is proving to be helpful in strengthening the economic condition of farmers. Proceeds from the sale of cow dung are making a profit by supplying equipment, seeds, fertilizers etc. required for the farm. In this episode, Upendra of village Pahurbel has also taken advantage of the Godhan scheme. Upendra used to dump cow dung from his two cows in the traditional garbage and some dung was used to make condens. Now the members of Upendra’s family are getting additional benefits by selling cow dung in Gothan. At present, the said amount has been used by Upendra in agricultural work by selling 81 quintal dung and earning Rs 1620.
