Chief Minister Shri Say rode a bike wearing a helmet: Gave a road safety message
A traffic awareness rally was organized as part of National Road Safety Month
Raipur, January 16, 2025/ During the 36th National Road Safety Month being observed in the state, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Say today gave a message to the people of the state to wear helmets and follow traffic rules by riding a bike wearing a helmet.
Chief Minister Shri Say participated in a bike rally today after reaching Rohnipur Gol Chauk in the capital Raipur. He appealed to two-wheeler drivers as well as four-wheeler drivers to follow traffic rules. During this, Shri Say also flagged off the grand bike rally. During the rally, voluntary organizations also made people aware of the benefits of following traffic rules through street plays.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Say said that human life is extremely precious. Humans have responsibilities towards their family and society, which they have to fulfill. He said that we are all precious to our families and no one else can ever take our place. Therefore, it is our duty to keep ourselves and our family members safe. The Chief Minister said that while driving a vehicle, all of us should definitely follow traffic rules. While driving a two-wheeler, one must always wear a helmet on the head and while driving a car, one should also wear a seat belt. Expressing concern over the deaths occurring every year in road accidents, the Chief Minister termed it as a loss to the country and the state. He said that these accidents happen due to non-compliance of traffic rules. Chief Minister Shri Say said that driving at a limited speed results in better control over the vehicle, thus reducing the chances of an accident. He said that one should never drive a vehicle after consuming alcohol. He gave a message to all the people of the state to follow traffic rules so that their lives as well as the lives of other people remain safe and family and social responsibilities can be fully discharged.
It is noteworthy that the 36th National Road Safety Month is being celebrated till January 31, 2025. Under this, Raipur traffic police is providing information about the necessary rules for safe driving. People are being informed about traffic rules by putting up banners and posters on the theme of road safety-life saving in an interesting way. Police and administration are also organizing various programs at different places on different days for this entire campaign. The participation of vehicle drivers, local citizens and parents of students is also being ensured in these programs. On this occasion, Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Lal Ummed Singh, along with senior officers of the police and transport department and a large number of dignitaries were present.
