Maoist couple from Bijapur district surrenders earlier than Telangana Police

A Maoist couple, allegedly concerned in lots of violent incidents, has surrendered earlier than the safety forces at Warangal in neighbouring Telangana.
As per Chhattisgarh police, the Maoist couple surrendered in entrance of Warangal police commissioner P Pramod Kumar on Wednesday. They left the oragnisation citing betrayal by the Maoists underneath whose affect that they had joined the militia. The Maoist couple, recognized as Annaram and his spouse Podium Devi, hails from Bijapur in Chhattisgarh.
“32-year-old Annaram said that after joining the left group he expected that the CPI Maoists would do some welfare work for Tribal community to safeguard the interests of forest dwellers. However, they were disappointed to see that Maoists were anti-development”, a police official mentioned.
Annaram was the Commander of the Wajedu Venkatapuram Area Committee of Telangana, Communication in-charge of the Telangana State Committee and a member of the Action Team Commander. And his spouse Podium Devi was working as a member in Maoist Communication Department.
Annaram was impressed by the speeches of Maoist chief Komuriya Komuraiya within the yr 2005. Following which, on the age of 17, he joined the guerrilla squad of Maoist group. Till 2010, he assisted motion of Maoists at borders of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. Then he was made a member of the Central Committee of Maoists.
As per police, there are greater than six instances registered towards Annaram.
