MIC meeting: The roads of the capital will be better, 12 crores received for repair, 10 new AC bus stops will be built, these agendas were approved
Lakshika Sahu, Raipur. MIC meeting was held in the Municipal Corporation under the chairmanship of Mayor Ejaz Dhebar. 23 different topics were discussed in the meeting. It was decided in the meeting that instead of global tender, now there will be zone-wise tender for cleaning system. In the meeting, 12 crores were approved for the repair of bad roads. At the same time, 10 new AC bus stops will be constructed.
It was decided in the meeting that tenders will be issued to improve the arrangements of night shelters. Medical facilities for employees, increasing the number of road sweeping machines from 4 to 7, increasing the radius from 85 km to 62-63 km and extending the tender period were agreed upon in the meeting. Apart from this, 193 eligible cases were approved in the Nirashrit Pension Yojana and 38 eligible cases were approved in the Parivar Sahayata Yojana. It was decided in the meeting that the sale of other items at C Mart locations will now be banned and new tenders will be issued. Mayor Ejaz Dhebar said that due to constant complaints on the cleanliness system, now after the global tender, it has been decided to issue 1-1 tenders zone-wise.
Corporation commissioner Abinash Mishra, MIC members Gyanesh Sharma, Nagbhushan Rao, Sundar Lal Jogi, Akash Tiwari, Jitendra Agarwal, additional commissioner US Agarwal, Vinod Pandey, superintending engineer in charge Rajesh Rathore, Imran Khan etc were present in the meeting.
Nitin Gadkari accepted the demands of the mayor
Mayor Aijaz Dhebar had demanded the construction of roads and flyovers in Raipur through a letter to Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. Minister Nitin Gadkari took cognizance of this and wrote a letter to NHAI and directed to take action on the above demands. Mayor Aijaz Dhebar said that the inspection team of the Center will reach Raipur soon. After inspection, the amount will also be released on getting approval.
Let us tell you that during his stay in Nagpur, Mayor Dhebar had met the Union Transport Minister, where he had demanded a flyover from Tatibandh to Telibandha. Along with this, he had demanded to make Bhagat Singh Chowk to Shankar Nagar Road, Ghadichok to Railway Station Road, Katoratalab to Shailendra Nagar Road, Lakhe Nagar to Budheshwar Temple Road as Gaurav Path.
