Raipur: Rs 32 lakh accepted for catastrophe victims

The Department of Revenue and Disaster Management of the Government of Chhattisgarh grants monetary help to the pure catastrophe victims by way of the District Collector. Under the Kabirdham and Dhamtari districts of the state, monetary help of Rs 32 lakh has been accepted in 8 such circumstances.

Under the provisions of Revenue Book Circular 6-4, the demise of Birzhuram Netam of village Mandeli of Magarlod tehsil of Dhamtari district resulting from hearth, Sonuram Markam of village Ghotgaon in Nagri tehsil, Kailashnath of village Buthanharra and Fatesingh Mandavi of village Guhannala died in water. In case of drowning, monetary help of Rs. Four lakh has been sanctioned to the households of the victims. Similarly, Santosh Yadav of village Threat in Kawardha district, Takeshwar of Amalidih and Bhupesh of Sonpuri died after drowning within the pond and Firat Patel of village Mazgaon in Sahaspur Lohara tehsil died of snake chunk. Economic help of 4 lakh rupees has been accepted.
