Sensitive initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai: Strike of committee managers and employees ends

Raipur, 12 November 2024/ On the sensitive initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the strike of managers and employees of primary agricultural credit cooperative societies ended. On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Sai, the salary and allowances of the committee employees were increased by 25 percent by fulfilling the demand of salary increase pending for 6 years by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies within 24 hours. Along with this, appropriate action is being taken by forming an inter-departmental committee at the government level regarding the other two demands. On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Sai, for the first time since 2018, the salaries and allowances of about 13 thousand employees of cooperative societies have been increased by 25 percent.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai himself took cognizance of the demands of the employees and gave instructions to the departmental officers to resolve them. In this regard, a positive discussion was held in front of Chief Minister Shri Sai on November 10 with the departmental officers regarding the demands of the employees of cooperative societies. The Chief Minister gave instructions regarding speedy resolution of the demands of the employees.

25 percent increase in salary and allowances of committee employees
In compliance with the instructions of the Chief Minister, orders to amend the Cooperative Society Employees Service Rules were issued by the Commissioner, Cooperative Department on 11 November 2024. In this, 25 percent increase in the salary and allowances of the employees of the committee has been approved, in which there is joy and happiness among all the employees.

The Food Department has also issued a letter to the effect that the paddy will be lifted by the Rice Millers and Marketing Associations within one month of the end of the paddy procurement. If even after this paddy is left in the procurement centres, then the Food Department will The proposal regarding drying of paddy to cooperative societies will be sent to the Finance Department.
Regarding the resolution of other demands of the employees, an inter-departmental committee has been formed involving the Food Department, Finance Department, Agriculture Department, Cooperative Department and Marketing Union, which after considering the demands of the employees union, sends the proposal to the government for resolution. Will do.

The employees of the cooperative societies have expressed their gratitude towards the Chief Minister for sensitively resolving the demands of the employees of the cooperative societies.

Employees returned to work in their respective committees
All the employees have returned to work in their respective committees and are busy making proper arrangements for paddy procurement starting from 14 November 2024. It has also been assured by the employees that the farmers will not face any kind of difficulty while procuring paddy. All necessary preparations in paddy procurement centers will be completed by 13 November 2024.

Commissioner Cooperative and Registrar Cooperative Societies Mr. Kuldeep Sharma has given instructions to all departmental employees and officers to ensure smooth procurement of paddy with complete transparency. He has also given instructions to the officials for continuous inspection and supervision of the procurement centers during paddy procurement.

The strike being held by Chhattisgarh Cooperative Society Employees Union from November 4, 2024 has been declared ended today. President of Chhattisgarh Cooperative Society Employees Federation, Shri Narendra Sahu, while declaring the strike of committee employees over, has said that all the committee employees are committed to implement all the schemes of the government at the committee level.
