Raipur, 10 December 2020 ,The wheel of time has now moved forward. The city is no longer just a city, Smart has moved its way towards the city. Since our state of Chhattisgarh is a farmers’ state. The identity of this region is already known as the rice bowl. The nature of the village is also changing rapidly with the prosperity of the farmers symbolizing self-respect and hard work. Small cities are expanding and expanding in size, turning the surrounding villages into colonies. It is natural that new colonies are settling with dreams of many facilities according to the needs of present and future rather than small cities. There is a new generation in these colonies. There is new thinking and new needs. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahriya are making all-out efforts to improve the urban areas to meet the new thinking and new needs of the new generation. Public health in urban areas, up gradation of poor, Better steps are being taken in the direction of cleanliness related work, housing for the urban poor, providing drinking water from house to house. It is a result of the work done in two years that Chhattisgarh has been ranked third in the Urban Governance Index -2020 ranking in the entire country for the remarkable work done in the schemes and citizens related services under the Urban Administration Department.  

          Keeping in view the facilities related to citizens in the Urban Administration Department, the Chief Minister started the operation of the ward office. Presently, ward offices are operated in 101 wards of 14 municipal corporations. 18285 applications have been received in these offices. Of these, 16305 have also been resolved. Here the complaints of common citizens are being resolved with priority. It has become easier to remove any problem near the house from the Chief Minister’s ward office. The toll free number for citizens is also diagnosis-1100. In which any complaint related to urban bodies can be lodged by phone. More than one lakh complaints have been resolved through diagnosis. Complaints are considered resolved only after the citizen is satisfied. Officers are also fined for not working.
