Statue of Pahari Myna is enhancing the beauty of Raipur, the state bird has been made from 100 kg scrap.

Nitin Namdev, Raipur. The huge statue of the state bird of Chhattisgarh, the hill myna, remains the center of attraction for the people in the capital. The statue of this mountain myna has been installed in front of Mahatma Gandhi Sadan Municipal Corporation headquarters of Raipur. The mountain myna has been made from 100 kg of scrap, which is 8 feet high.

Young India Group has made this effort to save the mountain myna, one of the endangered species, and to create public awareness about environmental protection. The beautiful figure of Hill Myna has been installed to beautify the city and to create awareness towards the environment.

Unusable materials from factories and homes have been used to prepare the statue of Pahari Myna. In this, rebar, gear plate, damaged parts of machines, iron chain, mesh, iron plate etc. have been used. The beautiful Pahari Maina has been prepared with the cooperation of many organizations including Municipal Corporation Raipur and Young India.

The maintenance of Aakriti will be done by Young India Organization and Heera Group. The initiative of telling the new generation about the state bird and saving the endangered birds on the theme of Jugaad from scrap is also being appreciated by the common people.
