Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai made a major announcement on the occasion of Veer Baal Diwas.

Raipur, December 26, 2024// The story of the immortal sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s valiant Sahibzadas, Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, will now be taught to school children in Chhattisgarh. This story of the bravery of the Veer Sahibzadas will inspire the youth of the country to move forward with courage. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai made this major announcement while addressing an intellectual seminar organized at the Medical College auditorium in the capital Raipur today on Veer Baal Diwas. He remembered the virtues of Guru Gobind Singh and the Veer Sahibzadas and said that we should adopt their teachings and connect the new generation with their ideals. During this time, the Chief Minister also watched an animated film based on the lives of the Veer Sahibzadas.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Veer Baal Diwas reminds us of the great Sikh tradition of the sacrifices of the Sikh Gurus for the defense of the nation. We should tell the inspiring stories of such great valiant sons to our children and society. He thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for declaring the martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Sahibzadas, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, as Veer Baal Diwas. Shri Sai said that every generation of India will always remember the sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and his Sahibzadas. Veer Baal Diwas inspires us to live for the country and to sacrifice our lives for the country if necessary. He said that Veer Baal Diwas also reminds us of the unity and integrity of the nation.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that forces that divide society remain active in every era. But a land where heroes like Shri Guru Gobind Singh and his Sahibzadas, Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, are born, no one can even dare to look at with an evil eye. He said that Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji are not sources of inspiration for just one religion or sect. They are exemplary for the whole of India. Shri Sai said that the character of India has fundamentally been one of social harmony. Extremism and fanaticism have never found a place in our country. Our state, Chhattisgarh, is the best example of this. He said that we are celebrating the Silver Jubilee year of the establishment of Chhattisgarh. We have taken a resolution for a developed Chhattisgarh. This resolution will be fulfilled only through social harmony.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh is known throughout the country for its social harmony, peace, and cordiality. Its roots need to be deepened further.
The main speaker at the seminar organized on Veer Baal Diwas, Shri Prem Shankar Sidar, said that India is a religiously devout country. When injustice increases in the country, the great men here stand up for protection. Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji are the youngest martyrs in the world. They remained steadfast in their faith even in the face of death. He said that the life force of India is its soul. Inspiration is drawn from the great men of the country that we have to protect the country. Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji were told the story of the sacrifices of their elders by their mother. Death is also victory—this message was given by these children through their sacrifice. Shri Sidar said that these events should be discussed in every home in India so that our new generation can be inspired by them.
On this occasion, MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal, MLA Shri Kiran Dev, MLA Shri Sunil Soni, MLA Shri Purander Mishra, MLA Shri Motilal Sahu, Shri Poornendu Saxena, Shri Pawan Sai, Shri Parminder Singh Bhatia, Giani Baj Singh Ji, Shri Bhupesh Savani, followers of the Sikh community, enlightened citizens, and school children were present.
