There will be nomination of NEP ambassador in universities and colleges of Chhattisgarh, the government has issued guidelines, will give information about the National Education Policy

Raipur. In view of the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) from the session 2024-25 in Chhattisgarh, guidelines have been issued for the nomination of NEP ambassador students in universities and colleges. This initiative is being taken to inform the students about the provisions of NEP and to resolve the doubts arising.

Process for Nomination of NEP Ambassador

One boy and one girl student with the highest marks among the students admitted in the first semester of graduation will be nominated as NEP Ambassador. The NEP Ambassador should be polite, active and proficient in communication skills (Hindi/English). The NEP Implementation Cell of the University/College will train the NEP Ambassador regarding all the provisions of NEP. An introduction card will be provided to the NEP Ambassador by the college. The name of the NEP Ambassador and his role will be given in every class of the first year of graduation and this information will also be pasted on the notice board of the college. The NEP Ambassador will be given a platform by introducing him to the students in the Diksharambh program to be held on 5 August 2024. The work of the NEP Ambassador will be evaluated monthly by the Principal and the NEP Implementation Cell. In case of not working as per the instructions, another student will be selected.

Functions and Role of NEP Ambassador

NEP Ambassadors will provide all information related to NEP to the students of the university/college and will resolve doubts related to NEP. Will remain in constant touch with the NEP implementation cell and will seek guidance from the cell to resolve the doubts of the students. Will ensure active participation in the initiation program and will work as a representative of the students. Will assist the students of the first semester in the selection of generic elective and value addition courses. Will assist the students in the continuous internal evaluation process under the guidance of the NEP implementation cell. Will make the students aware of the instructions issued by the Higher Education Department/University from time to time.
