Union Home Minister Amit Shah said this while inaugurating the regional office of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Naya Raipur today.
Mahasamund. Youth Congress members organized a state-wide Jail Bharo Aandolan rally today in protest against the arrest of Bhilai MLA Devendra Yadav in the Baloda Bazaar violence case. During the rally in Mahasamund, Youth Congress members left the Congress Bhawan and reached the City Kotwali and surrounded the main gate. During this, there was a lot of scuffle between the police and the Congressmen. The police arrested the protesters and put them in temporary jail. However, they were released after an hour.
Kawardha. A case of big fraud has come to light under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Kawardha district of Chhattisgarh. Where the officials uploaded the pictures of the government building and withdrew the amount without constructing the house and now after the matter has come to light, the officials have started covering it up.
Bhanupratappur. There are two more drains connected to Mangharra Nala between Parvi and Kharka village of Bhanupratappur block of Kanker district. The people of half a dozen villages of the area have been demanding to build a bridge on this drain for the last 15 years, but neither the BJP nor the Congress government listened to them. Tired of this, the villagers of three villages of the area, Kharka, Bhurka and Jalhur, built a makeshift bridge with local resources in two days for transportation.
Bilaspur. The court has sentenced three accused to life imprisonment and fine in the case of kidnapping and murder of the minor son of an auto dealer that took place two years ago in the Tarbahar area of the judicial capital.
