Today’s Top News: On the occasion of Chhattisgarh State Foundation Day, a grand event of Rajyotsav 2024 will be held in Naya Raipur Atal Nagar from 4 to 6 November, preparations for which are in their final stages. During this three-day festival, renowned artists from across the country and the world will present colorful and captivating cultural programs. Apart from this, exhibitions based on development and achievements will be organized by government departments. Craft Village, Food Court and Meena Bazaar will be the center of attraction of the venue, where various crafts and cuisines of Chhattisgarh will also be available.
Sukma. Naxalites have committed a major crime in Sukma district, a Naxal affected area of Chhattisgarh. Naxalites suddenly attacked the security personnel on duty in Jagargunda weekly market. Two soldiers have been seriously injured in this firing. The injured were immediately admitted to the hospital, where their treatment is ongoing.
Bhilai. An incident that took place last Saturday in Khamhariya, Bhilai, surprised everyone, where an innocent 9-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself after refusing to play carrom. Just a day before the holy festival of Bhai Dooj, this heartbreaking incident has left the family in mourning. Smriti Nagar police is investigating the matter.
Raigarh. Once again there has been an uproar in Chhattisgarh in the name of religious conversion. The latest case has come to light from Raigarh, where some women were praying in a house in Mitthu Muda locality of the city on Sunday morning. As soon as Hindu organizations came to know about this, they immediately reached the spot, surrounded the house and informed the police. During this, there was a fierce altercation between both the parties. Activists of Hindu organization accused the women of religious conversion in the name of prayer meeting. Seeing the matter gaining momentum, the police had detained 7 people, after which the police has now registered an FIR against a youth and 3 women.
Balod. Near Raja Talab of Daundi police station area, a youth Mehul Sahu (21) was killed by three people by crushing him with a stone after a dispute. This incident happened during a picnic, in which the young man died on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Mehul Sahu (age 21 years), father Devlal Sahu, who was a resident of Dallirajhara. Daundi police have detained 3 people in the case, who are being interrogated.
