Ranchi. Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren will join the Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday. Before that, he returned to Ranchi from Delhi on Wednesday and resigned from the primary membership of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. It is being told that he has also resigned from Hemant Soren’s government. As soon as he returned to Ranchi, he spoke to journalists and said that he will formally join the BJP on Friday i.e. 30 August.
After reaching his residence in Ranchi, he first sent his resignation. It is being told that he has sent his resignation from the membership of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and the state cabinet. Champai Soren said- We will join BJP on 30th August. We will work according to whatever responsibility the party gives us. Along with development in Jharkhand, we will take steps to save the existence of tribals.
Meanwhile, two officers of Jharkhand Police have been arrested in Delhi, who are accused of spying on Champai Soren. They have been arrested on the complaint of Champai Soren. Champai has registered a case against two sub-inspectors of Jharkhand Police in Delhi Police. It is alleged that both the sub-inspectors of the Special Branch of Jharkhand Police were following Champai Soren and the Chief Minister of Assam. Both of them reached Delhi from Kolkata by flight along with Champai Soren and took a room near him in Taj Hotel. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that during Champai Soren’s stay in Delhi, the Special Branch of Jharkhand Police followed him and monitored his activities.
