Newsroom: In view of the consecration of Ram Temple, there will be a half-day holiday in the entire country on 22 January. There will be a half-day holiday from morning to 2.30 pm in government offices and schools and colleges across the country. This step has been taken so that people can watch the live telecast of the Pran Pratishtha program. Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that in view of the consecration of Ram Lala in Ayodhya, all the offices of the central government will remain closed for half a day on January 22. He said, the decision of half-day holiday on January 22 in the central government offices has been taken in view of the tremendous enthusiasm among the people.
PM Modi will be the chief host
PM Narendra Modi will be the chief host in the consecration program of Ayodhya Ram temple. Pandit Laxmikant Dixit, who was going to play the role of chief archak in the Pran Pratishtha program, gave this information. As part of the rituals being performed before the Pran Pratistha ceremony of January 22 in the Ram temple, Kalash puja was performed on the banks of Saryu river on the second day on Wednesday.
The sequence of rituals begins
The rituals will continue till January 22. The process of rituals started on Tuesday which continued on Wednesday with the worship of Kalash on the banks of river Saryu. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust member Anil Mishra, his wife and others performed ‘Kalash Pujan’ on the banks of river Saryu. Earlier, Ram temple chief priest Satyendra Das had said that the rituals have started and will continue till January 22. 11 priests are performing rituals invoking all the gods and goddesses.
Ramlala’s idol brought to the sanctum sanctorum
It is noteworthy that the idol of Ramlala was brought to the sanctum sanctorum of Ram temple on Wednesday night. Before bringing the idol inside, a special puja was conducted in the sanctum sanctorum. Mishra said that the idol is likely to be installed in the sanctum sanctorum on Thursday. The idol was brought to the temple in a truck. The Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha program will begin on January 22 at 12:20 pm and is expected to end at 1 pm.
