Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana Soren also reached the jail to receive him. While granting him bail, the High Court said that there is no evidence against him.

After coming out of jail, Hemant Soren said that he was kept in jail for five months on false charges. He said- Five months were very difficult for the people of Jharkhand. People’s voice is being suppressed in a planned manner. The Chief Minister is in jail in Delhi. Ministers are being put in jail. The process of justice is becoming so long that it is taking many months to get justice. Hemant said- Everyone will get the court order in my case today. They should see it. You should assess the court order. You should see what is said in it. Today my jail journey ended.

Earlier, Hemant Soren got bail from the High Court on Friday morning in the money laundering case related to the land scam. The court said that no concrete evidence was found of his involvement in the money laundering case. While granting bail to Hemant Soren, the court has said that he fulfills both the conditions of bail under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act i.e. PMLA.

It is worth noting that Hemant Soren was arrested by ED on the night of January 31 in this case. The hearing on the bail plea was completed on June 13. The hearing was held in the court of Justice Rangan Mukhopadhyay the previous day. The court had reserved the decision after hearing both the parties. While giving the verdict on Friday, the court said – there is no reason to believe that the accused committed the alleged crime. While granting bail, it said that the accused will not commit any such crime while on bail.
