Lawyers celebrated in Jharkhand Ministry, CM Hemant Soren was warmly welcomed

Ranchi: The lawyers celebrated at the Jharkhand Ministry in joy of the historic decision of the Jharkhand State Council of Ministers for the welfare of the advocates by increasing the pension amount, health insurance benefits, providing financial assistance to their dependents after the death of the advocate and increasing the stipend amount of the newly registered advocates.

Medical insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh approved

The Jharkhand Cabinet today approved a medical insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh for more than 30,000 lawyers of the state. In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday, the cabinet also approved a proposal to give a pension of Rs 14,000 every month to lawyers aged 65 years and above. Apart from this, the cabinet also approved a proposal to give a support amount of Rs 5,000 every month to new advocates. Advocate General Rajiv Ranjan, who played an important role in getting the welfare schemes approved by the state government, said that Chief Minister Hemant Soren has fulfilled the promise made to him in an interactive meeting with the lawyers last year. Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, he said that Jharkhand is the first state in the country to make such a rule for the welfare of lawyers. This is a message for the whole country. After the cabinet meeting, the lawyers expressed their gratitude by garlanding the Chief Minister and presenting flowers.
