Raghuvar Das will take membership of BJP in the first week of January.

Raghubar Das: Raghubar Das, who resigned from the post of Governor of Odisha, will join BJP in the first week of January.

The President has accepted his resignation, but he has been asked to continue as acting Governor till the swearing-in of the new Governor.

He will formally join BJP only after being relieved of this responsibility. Raghuvar Das, while talking to media persons at his residence on Friday, said that he has left the post of Governor on his own will.

He considers himself fortunate that BJP gave constitutional responsibilities like Chief Minister and Governor to an ordinary worker like him. This is possible only in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The lifeblood of BJP is its ordinary workers. Raghuvar Das said that he does not want to comment on any political topic at the moment.

He will discuss politics only after he is officially relieved of the responsibility of acting Governor and takes membership of BJP.

Service of birthplace and workland (Raghubar Das)

Describing himself as basically an organization person, Raghuvar Das said that he considers it his duty to follow every order and instruction of the party.

Started his political journey as a booth level worker in 1980. I am overwhelmed by the position to which the party has reached given my loyalty, dedication and struggle towards its ideology and policies.

My last wish is that when my turn comes to depart from this world, the BJP flag should be with me. He described his 14-month experience as Governor of Odisha as very pleasant.

He said that with the blessings of Mahaprabhu Jagannath, I stayed in his abode for so many days and now even before returning from there, I have sought blessings from God so that I can serve my birthplace and workplace.
