21-year-old DYFI activist killed in Kerala’s Alappuzha district, two taken into custody

ALAPPUZHA: A 21-year-old activist of DYFI, the youth wing of the ruling CPI(M) in Kerala, was allegedly hacked to dying by some assailants close to Kayamkulam within the coastal district of Alappuzha, police stated on Wednesday.

Ambadi, the sufferer, died on account of the wound acquired on his neck within the assault on Tuesday night, an officer of Kayamkulam police station stated, including that the 2 alleged assailants had been in custody at current, however no arrest has been recorded.

The officer stated the incident occurred after an preliminary argument between the alleged assailants and the sufferer.

“He died on the way to the hospital,” the officer added.

“Only after further investigation can we know whether anyone else was also involved in the incident,” he added.
