Amid Congress infighting, Opposition chief V D Satheesan meets AICC basic secretary Oommen Chandy

KOTTAYAM: Amid the continued confrontation between Congress leaders over the appointment of recent district Congress chiefs, Opposition chief V D Satheesan visited and held discussions with senior chief and AICC basic secretary Oommen Chandy on the latter’s home in Puthuppally on Sunday, September 5, 2021. Meanwhile, Chandy expressed hope that points will probably be resolved via talks to be initiated by the brand new management. “The recent issues in the party created some difficult situations and it pained too. However, I agree with the Opposition leader’s stance that issues could be resolved through talks. Congress is ademocratic organization and talks are essential to resolve issues. Ramesh Chennithala and I have raised some issues. I will cooperate with any attempt to resolve those issues through talks,” Chandy stated.

Satheesan and Chandy had closed-door discussions for practically 45 minutes on the latter’s residence within the morning.
