Kerala to help Madhya Pradesh emulate its accountable tourism mission

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala will assist Madhya Pradesh (MP) emulate its Responsible Tourism Mission (RTM). A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on this regard will probably be signed in Thiruvananthapuram on January 13, stated an official launch.

A  thirteen-member delegation, led by Tourism and Culture Minister of MP Usha Thakur, will attain the state on Tuesday for a seven-day tour of accountable vacationer locations. 

Later a group of RTM officers from the state will go to MP. Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board director Manoj Kumar Singh and RTM Kerala coordinator Okay Roopesh Kumar are the nodal officers of the tie-up.Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran stated he was glad to see different states emulating the Kerala mannequin, which ensures participation of the native populace in growth actions. “Some other states too have evinced interest. Along with the development of the state’s tourism sector, Kerala will take its social development model in tourism to other states,” he added.

Tourism Secretary Rani George stated there have been 1.09 lakh beneficiaries of RTM in 20,000 items throughout the state. The complete revenue earned by the native inhabitants was Rs 38 crore. Tourism director P Balakiran stated the growth of RTM throws up a giant alternative for the state. “The mission can even provide professional consultancy services to other states,” he stated.
