KOCHI: A 100-bed momentary COVID therapy centre facilitated by the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) Kochi Refinery has been opened on the refinery premises. The refinery has offered oxygen help to all of the beds on the centre.
Refinery government director Sanjay Khanna stated the brand new facility is the primary section of the 1,500-bed COVID therapy centre with oxygen help being constructed by it in affiliation with the district administration. It is the primary time within the state {that a} hospital with 1,500 oxygen beds is being constructed with direct provide from an oxygen era plant.
He stated the BPCL will present three oxygen turbines to main hospitals in Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode and Kannur districts.
Khanna stated the refinery has offered Rs 8 crore for COVID therapy within the state. The refinery has a era capability of 12 tonnes of oxygen per day. Apart from this, the refinery can present 4 tonnes of liquified oxygen per day. Refinery chief basic supervisor Kurian Alappatt and different officers have been current on the event.
