Over 47,600 college students qualify in Kerala Engineering entrance examination

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A complete of 47629 college students, that embody 24143 women and 23486 boys, determine within the ranklist for admission to engineering programs within the state. Higher Education Minister R Bindu launched the engineering ranklist, together with that of pharmacy and structure, right here on Thursday.

Of the primary 10 ranks within the engineering entrance examination, seven have been bagged by boys. While Faiz Hashim from Thrissur bagged the primary rank, Harishankar M from Kottayam and Nayan Kishore Nair from Kollam have been positioned in second and third positions respectively.

The highest variety of candidates who figured within the high 5,000 engineering entrance ranks have been from CBSE stream. While 2602 college students from CBSE figured in high 5,000 ranks, 2112 college students from State Higher Secondary stream, 242 from ISC and 44 from different boards additionally figured within the checklist.

The first three rank holders within the pharmacy entrance examination have been: Faris Abdul Nasar from Thrissur, Thejaswi Vinod from Kannur and Akshara Anand from Pathanamthitta. While Thejus Josph from Kannur bagged first rank in Architecture entrance examination, the second and third ranks have been received by Amreen from Kozhikode and Aathinadh Chandra from Thrissur.
