Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that to make the new generation aware of the works of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai, along with various events, general knowledge competition should be organized. On the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar, there have been important activities like organizing cabinet in Maheshwar in the last one year, named Battalion in the name of Devi Ahilya Bai, theatrical staging and picture exhibition.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also instructed Devi Ahilya Bai to prepare the program in the birthplace located in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. The school curriculum includes the details of Lokmata’s life. Self -defense training to girls in schools, establishment of Devi Ahilya Research Peeth at Indore University and unpublished letters of Lokmata have also been published.
Folk singing, folk dances and dance plays have been performed from September to February 2025 at places Maheshwar, Chitrakoot, Orchha, Indore, Janapav, Ujjain, Mamleshwar, Omkhaghat, Amarkantak, Barwani, Mandsaur, Shivpuri etc. Under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, on Friday evening, the meeting of the ceremony for the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar was told that the inauguration of a souvenir focused on Lokmata is proposed on 31 May. Along with this, under the large closing ceremony of the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata from 29 to 31 May, there will be three -day programs at various places including the capital Bhopal.
Lokmata’s public welfare work was done in many states
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that along with Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Haryana, Orissa, Karnataka, Gujarat, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and many places have been there in Madhya Pradesh as well as Lokmata. Sales centers should be started at important places to make Maheshwari saree more popular.
In the construction of Maheshwar saree in the state, women have been given training related to handloom weaving, dyeing and unknown. Maheshwari saris became a global identity during Lokmata’s reign. The artistic hopes built on the walls of the historic Maheshwar Fort located in Khargone district are engraved in Maheshwari sarees.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar was a historical work administrator for good governance, construction of community buildings and dharamshalas at religious sites and historical work for women empowerment. On his 300th birth anniversary, a calendar of activities has been formed by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
According to this, many activities related to the life and contribution of Goddess Ahilyabai have been completed. The film has also been produced by the Department of Culture on Lokmata’s personality and work.
