Child dies after eating Balam cucumber in Ratlam, health of five deteriorates

Naiduniya Representative, Ratlam. The health of five people of a family deteriorated due to food poisoning in village Jadwasa Kala. Of these, four were admitted to the medical college, where a five-year-old boy died. Everyone had eaten Balam cucumber two days ago. Only after that his health deteriorated. It is believed that poisoning may have occurred due to cucumber.

According to the information, 36-year-old Mangilal Patidar, resident of village Jadvasa Kala, his wife 33-year-old Kavita, five-year-old son Kriyansh, 11-year-old daughter Dakshita and eight-year-old Sakshi had eaten Balam cucumber on the evening of October 1.

When they started vomiting at around 5 am on Wednesday morning, all five were taken to a private hospital in the city and admitted. After some time everyone went home after their health got better.

Neighbor Satyanarayan Patidar told that between 2 to 3 pm on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, the health of Kavita, Kriyansh, Dakshita and Sakshi deteriorated again and they were taken to the medical college and admitted.

Where Kriyansh died after some time. Kavita, Dakshita and Sakshi are undergoing treatment in ASIU. Everyone’s health had deteriorated due to eating Balam cucumber.
