In this regard, the Commissioner, Urban Administration and Development has been informed through a memorandum, as well as a memorandum has been given to the Collector and other administrative officers in all the districts.

this is the reason for the strike

State President of the organization Nilesh Dubey said that the Chief Municipal Officer-employees posted in the urban bodies are working to provide civic services as per the guidelines of the government. They manage the arrangements in the bodies under limited financial resources.

For the past several days, attempts have been made in various areas of the state to harass the chief municipal officials and civic employees, to create mental pressure, and even to kill them. Dubey said that on the one hand, the Sarangpur incident points towards unexpected pressure.

On the other hand, Chief Municipal Officer of Nagar Parishad Harsud (Chhanera) Monika Pardhi was attacked by an employee with a bullet in her hand.

Along with this, an incident took place in the Amarwada Municipality where a councillor publicly hit and chased the Chief Municipal Officer with a slipper.

Sometimes public representatives, sometimes tenderers, sometimes the administration exert pressure on the CMO. Due to which there is an atmosphere of fear and anger among the CMOs of urban bodies.
