Indore. Congress protested against the big scam in Indore Municipal Corporation on Tuesday. During this, Congress leaders and workers clashed with the police. Police used water cannon to disperse the leaders and workers.
It is worth mentioning that some other scams along with fake bills have been exposed in Indore Municipal Corporation recently. Congress had called for a dharna (protest) against this.
The demonstration was organised near the Municipal Corporation office. During this, some activists tried to enter the corporation premises. They were chased away by the police. Water cannon was used for this.
During the demonstration, other senior leaders also joined MP Congress President Jitu Patwari. During this, City Congress President Surjit Singh Chaddha and District President Sadashiv Yadav were also seen.
It is worth mentioning that both the leaders were suspended recently due to the hospitality provided to Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya during his visit to Gandhi Bhawan. It has been learnt that a young man was injured after being hit by a water cannon. He has been sent to the hospital.
