Farmers are spending the night at distribution centers due to shortage of fertilizer. After the announcement of distribution of tokens, farmers camped. Demand for 25,500 metric tons of DAP fertilizer, only 20% stock.
Naiduniya Representative, Shivpuri: Farmers are so troubled by the shortage of fertilizers that they have to spend the night at the distribution centers. The situation has become such that after keeping the Aadhar cards and books and putting numbers on them, the farmers have also placed their beds there. A similar scene unfolded from Monday night to Tuesday morning. The administration had announced on Monday that distribution of tokens will start in Kolaras New Tehsil from 8 am on Tuesday and fertilizer will be distributed from the grain market from 10:30 am.

The farmer of Khataura village told that he had camped here since Monday night because he had been wandering for fertilizer for many days. There were many farmers who had reached there since Sunday night. He had placed his Aadhar card on the brick and numbered it, so that when he woke up on Tuesday morning, he would get the fertilizer token. Despite this, farmers are not getting sufficient quantity of fertilizer.
If a farmer has five bighas of land then he will be given only three kattas of fertilizer and if he has ten bighas or more land then only five kattas is being given, whether the land is a hundred bighas or a thousand bighas.
DAP fertilizer crisis
Deputy Director Agriculture US Tomar says that there is a total demand of 25500 metric tons of DAP fertilizer, but till now only 5500 metric tons of fertilizer has been received. On Wednesday, another rake of 1600 metric tons of DAP is reaching Shivpuri. In such a situation, adequate quantity of DAP fertilizer will also be available to the farmers. Farmers are advised to use NPK instead of DAP, it contains all the elements found in DAP, plus one additional element.
