Delhi Coaching Centre Deaths: Alert in MP over coaching accident in Delhi, coaching institutes running in basement will be investigated

Three students died due to waterlogging in basement in Delhi. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav ordered that coaching basement be inspected and has given instructions through video conference with Commissioner-Collector.

State Bureau, Naiduniya, Bhopal. The state government has also become alert after the incident of death of three students due to water logging in the basement of a coaching institute in Delhi. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, in a video conference organized with the Commissioner-Collector to deal with the situation of heavy rain and flood, termed the incident in Delhi as painful and ordered an investigation of the coaching centers operating in the basements of the state. He said that it should be ensured that there is proper arrangement for water drainage in such coaching institutes.

The Chief Minister said that to ensure that there is no loss of life anywhere in the state, all the collectors should assign responsibilities to the administrative staff in the districts under their leadership. The flood control room should work 24 hours. There should be no lack of coordination. If the army is required anywhere to save people’s lives, the collector should inform on time.

When the flow is high, traffic should not be allowed on bridges and culverts. In the meeting, the Chief Minister told the Public Works Department officials that safety arrangements should be ensured on such bridges where accidents have happened earlier.

If there is waterlogging on the bridges, do not let people go

If water is released from dams, inform the affected districts first. Rescue teams should also be available at such places. Be alert so that there is no loss of life. Officers and employees on control room duty should remain alert 24 hours. Take the services of scouts, guides and charitable organizations as per requirement. Before the meeting, Chief Secretary Veera Rana gave instructions to all the districts of the state regarding dealing with the situation of excessive rain and flood.

There should be no lack in security of devotees in temples

The Chief Minister said that a large number of devotees visit temples during the month of Saavan. This should be assessed district-wise. The routes leading to religious places and those religious places which are near water sources should be monitored. During this, information was taken from Ujjain Commissioner, Shajapur, Narmadapuram, Jabalpur and Katni Collectors about the rainfall situation and the possibility of floods.

Instructions for water drainage and safe electrical arrangements- In the meeting, Principal Secretary of Urban Development Department, Neeraj Mandloi informed that in case of waterlogging in coaching institutes running in basements in the state, instructions have been given to look into the water drainage system and ensure safe electrical arrangements.

Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajora said that commissioners of 16 municipal corporations also joined the meeting and they have been asked to inspect coaching institutes, other Dharamshalas and institutions running in the basement.
