Five people trapped due to rising water level in Amargarh Waterfall of Sehore, rescued by rescue team

Sehore. People who had come to visit Amargarh waterfall under Budni tehsil of the district got stuck. On Sunday evening, five people from Bhopal had come to Amargarh for picnic, but got stuck there due to rising water level. STF team reached to rescue them and after a lot of hard work, they could be rescued.

According to the information, Ashok Maheshwari, a resident of Airport Road, Bhopal, had reached Amargarh with five members of his family. He had come to Amargarh waterfall for a picnic. There is a place in the waterfall where it becomes like an island when the water level rises. Here, at around 5 o’clock, the water suddenly rose and all five people got trapped.

It became difficult for everyone to come out. The local administration was informed about being stuck in the waterfall and after this two teams of SDRF reached the spot for rescue. Ropes were tied to the tractor on both sides to take out the family. Then everyone was taken out with the help of ropes. Everyone was rescued by the team of SDRF and district administration at around 10 pm.

Shahganj police station in-charge Pankaj Vaskale said that Ashok Maheshwari, who lives near Bhopal’s Airport Road, had reached Amargarh waterfall with his parents, wife and brother. Everyone has been evacuated safely. Ranger Mahipal Singh said that the place where these people were stranded was an island. There was water on both sides. As soon as the information was received, the rescue team reached the spot and started the rescue operation.
