“If you don’t want to appear in court, then arrange for 50 thousand rupees”, SI caught taking bribe

Jabalpur Lokayukta team today took a big action in the city and arrested SI Jitendra Yadav posted in Kotwali police station red handed while taking a bribe of 50 thousand rupees. At present, the Lokayukta team has registered a case against the SI under the Prevention of Corruption Act and further action is being taken.

In fact, a few days ago, a young man named Ravi Malvi had lodged a complaint in the Kotwali police station that some people wanted to get him killed by giving a contract, in which he had filed a named complaint against three people including Durgesh Soni in the Kotwali police station.

While investigating this case, SI Jitendra Yadav posted at Kotwali had called Durgesh Soni to the police station for questioning on 22nd August and after keeping him at the police station for 2 days, he pressurized him and demanded Rs. 1 lakh from him by saying that he would present him in the court.

After which Durgesh Soni went to his house on 24th August along with SI Jitendra Yadav and another policeman and gave him 25 thousand rupees. The next day on 25th August Durgesh was presented in SDM court, from where he got bail and after this SI Jitendra Yadav started pressuring Durgesh to give the remaining 75 rupees, so Durgesh Soni complained about this to Lokayukta in Jabalpur.

After which today SI Jitendra Yadav was arrested red handed while taking 50 thousand rupees bribe from Durgesh Soni near Raja Ki Bagiya in Chandangaon. The Lokayukta team that came from Jabalpur included DSP Dilip Jharbade, inspector and members of the trap team.
