The tender process has started for this project which will be completed in five years. The project will directly connect about one thousand villages and 30 lakh population with rail service. The project will give impetus to the industrial area of ​​Pithampur. Upon completion of the project, 16 pairs of passenger trains will be operated, in which 50 lakh passengers will travel in the initial years. Every year, Railways will get revenue of more than Rs 900 crore from this project.

The distance from Indore to Mumbai will also reduce from 830 km to 568 km. Manoj Marathe of Sangharsh Committee said that according to the information given recently by Railways, Railways has started the tender process for land acquisition and construction work in the project. After completion of the project, 24 goods trains will operate.
