Madhya Pradesh government’s big decision on surrogacy, woman will get insurance of Rs 10 lakh

Sonography forms can be uploaded in 5 days. The process for uploading the forms will be made easy. Instructions were given to take quick decisions on surrogacy cases.

State Bureau, Naiduniya, Bhopal: The health risk insurance for a woman who gives her womb for surrogacy i.e. giving birth to someone’s child, upon pregnancy has now been increased to Rs. 10 lakh. Till now this amount was Rs. 2 lakh.

The meeting of the State Assisted Reproductive Technology and Surrogacy Board was concluded in the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla. In this, instructions were given to take quick decisions after proper consideration on the surrogacy cases applied at the state level.

It is noteworthy that 126 institutions (ART Bank, ART Level-1 Clinic, ART Level-2 Clinic and Surrogacy Clinic) have been registered under the State Assisted Reproductive Technology and Surrogacy (Regulation) Act. MLA Riti Pathak, Priyanka Meena and health department officials were present in the meeting.

Sonography F form will have to be uploaded within five days

On the other hand, a meeting of the PCPNDT Supervisory Board was also held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Chief Minister. It was decided in this meeting that the F forms filled during sonography can be uploaded anytime in the next five days and not on the same day.

Appropriate efforts should be made to simplify the technical processes for uploading digital Form-F. Clear guidance should be obtained from the Central Board on the use and reporting of registered sonography machines by trainee doctors (radiology and gynecologist) and the qualification of technicians of fetal sex selection equipment.
