The paddy crop submerged in water has started rotting. Due to this, farmers are worried about huge losses. Farmers have demanded the administration to drain out the water from the fields.

There is no proper drainage system. In such a situation, their paddy crop has started rotting now, because it has been only a fortnight since the transplantation. The plant has not been able to recover completely and is now starting to rot.

Plants will have to be replanted

In such a situation, the affected farmers will now have to plant paddy plants again in their fields. If arrangements are not made to drain out the water from the fields soon, the plants will rot completely. The farmers whose fields are flooded due to heavy rains in the district have also demanded an assessment of the damage from the administration.

This time, the target of sowing Kharif crops in a total of 1 lakh 55 thousand hectares has been set across the district. This year the area for paddy has been fixed at 45 thousand hectares, but it has increased to 55 thousand hectares. Because the area for paddy is continuously increasing in the district. Earlier, due to lack of rain, the transplantation of paddy got delayed and when it rained and the farmers transplanted paddy, now the continuous rain has become a problem for them.
