NTET exam has been made compulsory in Ayush colleges

There are a total of 750 AYUSH colleges in the country including 494 Ayurveda colleges. Doctors who pass the exam will get the Teachers Code. Exam is not required for already working faculty.
State Bureau, Naiduniya. Bhopal. From the next session, eligibility test (NTET) will be mandatory to become a teacher in Ayush colleges across the country. In April this year, the National Commission for Indian Medicine (NCISM) had issued its notification. Earlier it was believed that this system could be extended further, but now NCISM has started registration of doctors from 24 September.
Doctors will get Teachers Code
There are a total of 750 AYUSH colleges including 494 Ayurveda colleges across the country. The central government is going to take this step to improve the educational quality of AYUSH colleges. Passing the National Teacher Eligibility Test (NTET) will not be mandatory for teachers already working in colleges.
Only those doctors who pass this exam will get the teachers code. On the basis of this code, they will be eligible for faculty appointment in Ayush colleges. Applications for NTET can be made till October 14.
National spokesperson of Ayush Medical Association, Dr. Rakesh Pandey said that five thousand Ayush PG degree holders from across the country are likely to appear in this examination. The quality of Ayush education will improve after the implementation of this system.
