Raksha Bandhan Special: Once used to beg on the streets, learned a skill and got an order of one lakh rakhis

Here the social organization Pravesh started making beggars skilled in 2021 to free them from begging. The result of this is that those who were beggars earlier are now not only earning income for themselves by learning skills, but are also setting an example by becoming self-reliant.

Recently these new artisans got an order to make one lakh rakhis, which was completed in just 22 days. Apart from this, after making rakhis, these people will sell them under the banner of Sanstha Pravesh and will run their life with self-respect from the income earned from it.

Let us tell you that Rupali Jain, the founder-director of the institution Param Pujya Rakshak Adinath Welfare and Educational Society (Pravesh), along with her team, is engaged in the campaign to free Indore from begging. She left America and came to India and started serving the country here. Rupali Jain of the institution Pravesh told that 31 male and 14 female beggars are living in the institution, who will stay here for three to six months.

The order was completed in 22 days

They are being given skill training to make them self-reliant. On July 1, the organization Dharm Jagran received an order to make one lakh rakhis, in which it was said that after the order is completed by July 30, another order for one lakh rakhis will be given. We have completed the order in just 22 days. In return, the beggars will earn 30 thousand rupees. Along with this, 10 thousand rakhis have been made for Lions and Rotary Club.

Uses from cow dung to beads

Every day 45 beggars are working for about four to five hours in this rehabilitation center to make rakhis. This rakhi is made completely by hand. Cotton, thread, cow dung, pearls, glitter etc. are being used in it. Last year also the organization had prepared and sold 15 thousand rakhis.
