Shri Krishna Janmashtami: Radha-Krishna’s idols decorated with antique ornaments, Gopal Mandir’s doors opened for darshan at 12 noon

Wearing jewellery worth crores, the Lord gave darshan to his devotees along with Radha.

Naiduniya representative, Gwalior. On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, the idol of Radha-Krishna was decorated with precious antique jewels in Gopal Mandir located in Gwalior’s Phoolbagh. The doors of the temple were opened for devotees for worship and Aarti at exactly 12 noon. On this occasion, Municipal Corporation Chairman Manoj Tomar, Corporation Commissioner Aman Vaishnav along with senior councilors and officials from the ruling and opposition parties were present. On this occasion, the absence of Mayor Shobha Sikarwar was a topic of discussion.

Earlier on Monday morning, the jewellery was brought to the temple from the bank locker with three-tier security. The jewellery was matched with the album. The programmes will be held in the temple till 12 midnight. During this time, more than 300 jawans and officers have been deployed around the temple. These jewellery from the time of Scindia state are studded with precious gems like gold, diamond, sapphire, emerald, ruby ​​and topaz. These precious gem studded jewellery are also a gift of the Scindia family.

In the morning, under the supervision of police and Municipal Corporation Commissioner Aman Vaishnav, the jewelry was brought from the bank locker to Gopal Temple. Where Chairman Manoj Singh Tomar, Leader of Opposition Haripal, Councilor Anil Sankhla, former Councilor Krishnarao Dixit and the temple priest decorated Radha-Krishna. After wearing beautiful yellow clothes, a 55-strand necklace studded with emeralds was put on them. Radha-Krishna were made to wear a gold crown studded with gems. Lord Krishna was given a gold flute (studded with diamonds and rubies). Radhaji was made to wear a gold bow and other jewelry. Silver utensils were cleaned and kept for the worship.

Devotees had darshan of the divine form of decorated Radha-Krishna

The Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Chairman along with others performed Aarti of the divine form of Radha-Krishna adorned with priceless jewels. After that, the doors of the temple were opened for the devotees to visit. Devotees will visit the temple till 12 midnight and after performing the Aarti of Lord Krishna’s birth anniversary at 12 midnight, the jewels will be counted and kept safely in the treasury at night and in the bank locker in the morning.
