During this time many senior BJP leaders and workers were present. The councilors who have joined BJP include Habib Rain, Dhruv Yadav, Ramkumar Yadav, Anshul Jain Mona, Arvind Rajak, Virendra Kushwaha.

It is noteworthy that the chairman of Tikamgarh Nagarpalika is from Congress. Despite this, the work of Congress councillors was not getting done in the Nagarpalika. Regarding this, the councillors were going to bring a no-confidence motion against the chairman. But the government has now extended the time for no-confidence motion to three years. Therefore the councillors could not do so. In such a situation, the councillors who were angry with the chairman and the organization due to no work being done. They joined the BJP. The councillors took membership in the presence of BJP state president VD Sharma, divisional in-charge Mukesh Chaturvedi, MLA Harishankar Khatik, district president Amit Nuna.
