State Bureau, Naiduniya, Bhopal. The master plan of the capital Bhopal will now be made afresh. The Urban Administration Department has cancelled the draft of the Bhopal Master Plan made three years ago and has reconstituted the committee to make it afresh. The Bhopal Municipal Corporation Mayor, District Panchayat Chairman, Lok Sabha Member, all the MLAs of Bhopal, Bhopal Development Authority Chairman, Sarpanchs of 74 villages, representatives of senior officers of the district administration have been made members in it.
The Joint Director of Nagar and Gram Nivesh Bhopal will be the convener of the committee. Let us tell you that this change has been made on the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya. The government’s intention behind this is that the draft of the master plan can be prepared afresh so that the city can be developed properly.

Apart from the officials, architects and engineers have also been included in this committee so that attention can be paid to all aspects of planning and designing. The catchment area of the city’s rivers and ponds should be reserved and work should be done to preserve it by planting trees there. Keeping in mind the future requirements, provisions should be made for permissions to expand roads and houses.
The master plan was to come in August
Bhopal’s new master plan, which was stuck for 20 years, was to be released in August. Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya had said that the master plan would be implemented by August, but due to the displeasure of the public representatives, the master plan was cancelled and a new master plan will be made. Bhopal’s new master plan will be prepared on the basis of the estimated population of the year 2047.
