Naiduniya representative, Anuppur. During inspection in a school, the Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat caught the teacher’s son teaching in place of the teacher. Teacher Chaman Lal Kanwar posted in Madhyamik Vidyalaya Cholna was absent for a month, his son was teaching the children in his place. A case has been registered against the teacher and his son on the complaint of BRC.

District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Tanmay Vashisht Sharma visited various schools on Saturday and reviewed the implementation of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Mission. During inspection at Madhyamik Shala Cholna in Vikaskhand Jaithari, the teacher’s son was found teaching without authorization. A show cause notice has been issued to the teacher.

Secondary teacher Chaman Lal Kanwar and both the guest teachers were not found in the school. Teacher Chaman Lal Kanwar’s son Rajendra Pratap Singh was found teaching in class VIII. On the spot, the children and the female teacher of the primary section told that teacher Chaman Lal Kanwar has been ill for the past one month, due to which his son is serving in his place.

FIR against teacher and son

The district CEO expressed his objection to this and directed on the spot to register an FIR against the teacher and his son for conducting studies without authorization. Jaithari BRC Vishnu Mishra filed a complaint at Jaithari police station, on which the police registered a case under sections 318, 319 3 (5) BS against the accused head master Chaman Lal Kanwar and Rajendra Pratap Singh and took it into investigation.
