Van collided with a roadside tree on Bhopal-Sehore road, one dead, five injured

Navdunia Representative, Bhopal. A speeding van lost control and collided with a roadside tree on Bhopal-Sehore road in Khajuri Sadak police station area on Thursday night. A young man died in the accident, while five people including the driver were injured. However, the condition of all the injured is said to be out of danger. Police is investigating the matter.

According to Khajuri Sadak police station, 36-year-old Wahid son of Arman Qureshi, a resident of Ashta, was a farmer by profession. On Thursday afternoon, he had come to Bhopal in a van with driver Wasim to take his family’s children for a trip. Everyone was returning to Ashta at night.

At around 8 pm, they were passing near Rajput Dhaba when the speeding van lost control and collided with a tree on the roadside. The accident was so severe that the van was badly damaged. Wahid Qureshi was thrown out of the van. Hearing the screams, people nearby rushed to rescue him and took the injured to Hamidia Hospital in an ambulance for treatment.

After checking there, the doctor declared Wahid dead. Driver Wasim, Wahid’s son Wajid, daughter Rahat, nephew Saka and niece Tausifa were also injured in the accident. All were discharged from the hospital after treatment. On receiving the information of the incident, Wahid’s relatives came to Bhopal at night itself. After the post-mortem on Friday, the police handed over Wahid’s body to his relatives.
