Khajuraho was the hottest place in the state with 35.6 degrees Celsius on Sunday. The maximum temperature in Guna, Damoh and Ratlam also remained above 35 degrees. The day temperature in Bhopal was recorded at 33 degrees Celsius.
There has been an average drop of one degree in day and night temperatures across the state on Sunday. Despite this, the maximum and minimum temperatures are still two degrees higher than normal. The average temperature across the state is expected to drop by about one to one and a half degrees in four to five days.

Due to moisture in the air, the effect of fog will be visible. It may take 8 to 10 days for cold to start in the state. After this week, due to the main component of winds being northern, the day and night temperatures will also decrease.
