Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh government has today transferred 18 IAS officers in a major administrative surgery. One name in the released list is that of Manish Rastogi of 1994 batch, who has been given the responsibility of Principal Secretary of the Jail Department. Manish Rastogi was considered very close to former CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan. During the tenure of Shivraj Singh, he held the responsibility of Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister for a long time.

The 1994 batch IAS officer has previously held many important positions in the state government. He has also been the Collector of Bhopal. His name was also linked to the much talked about e-tender scam.

It is reported that there was a lot of discussion about the nature of IAS officer Rastogi, who held the responsibility of Principal Secretary to former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for 3 years and 10 months during his fourth term. Many officers in the ministry were also unhappy with his attitude. Because of which Dr. Mohan Yadav was dismissed after becoming the CM in the new government.
