1.91 lakh enrolled for second section COVID-19 vaccination in Odisha

BHUBANESWAR :  Around 1,91,243 frontline employees, who had been concerned in containment measures and regulation and order, have been enrolled thus far for the second section of COVID-19 vaccination within the State.  The listed beneficiaries included 1,56,765 armed forces personnel, police and jail workers, 25,964 municipal employees and eight,514 workers of Revenue and Disaster Management division. 

The State Government had began enumeration of the beneficiaries early this month and it was to be accomplished by January 25. The Centre had requested all States to ship the listing of frontline employees after the well being employees had been thought-about for the primary section. Additional Chief Secretary of Health division PK Mohapatra stated the timeline for enrollment of frontline employees has been prolonged until January 31.

Meanwhile, the State Government has set a goal to vaccinate round 19,770 healthcare employees (HCWs) at 216 session websites in 27 districts and Bhubaneswar on Thursday within the second spell of the primary section vaccination drive.

Health division sources stated the vaccination resumed in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday the place 1137 HCWs received the jab. Of 3,50,726 HCWs enrolled thus far, 1,78,227 have been vaccinated. “The rest will be covered by February 10. Those who are remaining absent from vaccination after receiving message will not be given further chance for free vaccine from the Government,” Mohapatra added.
