Annual honorarium hike for presidency staff in Odisha

BHUBANESWAR:  As a Utkal Divas reward for presidency staff, the State authorities has hiked the annual honorarium paid beneath Rule-120 of Odisha Service Code. The SO, DO, ASO, PS, PA, situation superintendent, diary superintendent, senior steno, senior DEO and equal will now get Rs 38,000 as an alternative of Rs 30,000 and typist, junior steno, driver and equal shall be paid Rs 31,000 instead of Rs 25,000 earlier.

Similarly, the ceiling of honorarium of diarist, daftari, peon and equal has been revised from Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000. Employees engaged on contractual foundation or as OSD or advisor shall be entitled to honorarium equal to the posts towards which they’ve been engaged.  

The higher ceiling of honorarium payable to completely different classes of staff has been determined bearing in mind the fundamental pay as per the Odisha Revised Scale of Pay (ORSP) Rules, 2017, with out factoring within the Revised Assured Career Progression (RACP)/Modified Assured Career Progression (MACP) profit accrued to the workers involved.

“Demands were received from various quarters for revision of the ceiling following the rising price of commodities and fuel. Four years have passed since the honorarium was revised last,” mentioned a Finance division official. The honorarium was final revised in February 2018 after the implementation of ORSP Rules, 2017. The higher ceiling of the quantity was hiked to Rs 40,000 from Rs 20,000.
