Bhubaneswar: Retired senior typist arrested by Odisha Vigilance

Bhubaneswar: Tightening the noose across the neck of corrupt officers Odisha Vigilance on Saturday caught a retired senior typist in Odisha whereas he was demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 3000.
The apprehended retired senior typist has been recognized as Amruta Sahoo.
As per reviews, the Vigilance sleuths apprehended Sahoo, the retired senior typist at workplace of Managing Director, Odisha Lift Irrigation Corporation, Bhubaneswar on Saturday whereas he was demanding and accepting undue benefit of Rs 3000 (Rupees Three thousand) from a complainant as a way to assist him in processing the EPF file of his late father by influencing involved dealing clerk and different officers.
The whole bribe cash has been recovered from Sahoo and seized.
In this connection Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case No 36 dated 19.11.2021 below part 7A PC Amd. Act 2018 has been registered.
Investigation is in progress towards Sahoo.
Update:
After getting grievance towards Sahoo, a entice was laid on 20.11.2021 whereby the accused Amruta Sahoo, Ex-Senior Typist (Retired) was caught by the crew of Odisha Vigilance close to Fire Station Square, Bhubaneswar whereas demanding and accepting undue benefit (bribe) of Rs.3,000/- (Rupees Three Thousand) from complainant.
The bribe cash was recovered from the possession of Sahoo and seized in presence of witnesses. Both fingers wash of Sahoo gave optimistic chemical response, confirming acceptance and dealing with of bribe cash by him.
He has been arrested and is being forwarded to the Court.
